I knitted this a few weeks ago but haven’t had time to take a picture of it because I started to use it as soon as I finished making them. I have super long fingers so gloves don’t fit me too well. They are either too short in which case I wear out the tips very quickly or too big and ugly. These peekaboo mittens are perfect for my needs. I used my own handpainted Knitpicks bare worsted superwash yarn. I think they are the cleverest mittens ever! They are so practical and warm. To keep cold air from entering through the hole, I just pinch them with my fingers and hold my hand in a fisted position.
I love this hat. The pattern can be found here. I wore it almost the entire day (indoors) after I completed it. The only draw back to it is that its not as “slouchy” as I would have liked it. The giant pom pom was my addition to the slouch. Baby was sorta patient enough to be my model again.
I’ve hit a slump in my sock knitting progress after my dog ate my #2 bamboo dpns. I’m knitting the pomatomus socks on #1 dpns. Its turning out very pretty using my own dyed superwash wool but unfortunately knitting on #1 dpns goes very slowly. I am also working on a summer cardigan of my own design. I originally wanted to do a lacy cardigan but I barely have the patience to do anything larger than a pair of socks let alone a lacy cardigan. So, I switched to a pretty basic stockinette cardigan that is going along pretty fast. I lost my ipod sock about a week after I knitted it so eventually I’m gonna knit another one and also one for my digital camera.
